Everest trekking area is inside the Sagarmatha National Park that was established in 1976 and covers 1148 square kilometers. The park comprises rugged terrain, deep gorges, glaciers, huge rocks and densely forested valleys of High Himalayas. Its ranges from 2845 meters (9330 ft) to the peak of Mount Everest, 8848 meters (29028 ft) in altitude. Solukhumbu district, the heartland of Everest Region and enriched with the High Himalayan charisma, is the most satisfying destination to the mountaineers and trekkers.
